Moss removal on a tiled roof in Charleroi, May 2026

  • Moss removal
  • Gutters

In May 2026, in Charleroi, Toiture Wash removed the moss from a tiled roof of about 260 m² for a private customer. Our team photographed the slope on site: one of the two images shows it being cleaned, with some of the tiles already red again.

The job at a glance

Location
Charleroi (6032), Province of Hainaut
Date
May 2026
Customer
private customer
Roof covering
red tiles, visible in the photos
Area
about 260 m² of roof
Services
moss removal, roof treatment, gutter cleaning

What we did

  1. Moss removal from the tiled roof.
  2. Roof treatment once the moss removal was finished.
  3. Gutter cleaning.

Worth noting

The first photo was taken during the job: a band of dark tiles takes up the left of the frame, red tiles the right, above the zinc gutter. The second shows the same slope once the job was finished: red tiles from the gutter to the ridge.

On a tiled roof, moss builds up mainly where the tiles overlap and along the ridge: the guide on the risks of moss on the roof explains it. Every moss removal includes a treatment, either a colourless water repellent or an algicide, fungicide and bactericide product, depending on the roof, and gutter cleaning is included.
